Such passion - this is technically brilliant and so full of feeling. It's done in a quick sketch style but closer inspection reveals that a lot of work must have gone into this, unless you are one of those gifted and insanely talented people that I envy.
PS: If I was your boyfriend, I might suggest that next time certain costumes be hired and roles acted out for a present...
Incredible work. For this, your boyfriend should be more than happy, I know i would if my girl could draw like this. Actually, I just need a girl who will shut up about what them and their exs did and start focusing on the relationship and having a good time. My god, I really need to sort my standards and stop dating those type of women.
No, I mean it's ok to bring up your ex every now and then. But it's like as if she still loves him and wish I was him. In fact, the last girl I dated wouldn't shut up about the last guy she dated and and always said things like "he always gave me the same thing" or "but he usually does things this way".
Well guess what, I'm not him and never will be. I'm me, so either deal with it or we can break up, so we did. And I saw her with her ex only a day later. I just hate that. But oh well.
Maybe he was just talking about those kind of girls that keep babbling about their past relationships as if they were the best thing that ever happened to them, and new guy just feels like he is some kind of consolation prize.. I don't know. You know when the girl just starts dating someone new to try to forget the ex, but she actually doesn't care about the feelings of the new guy, she is just trying heal her own wounds... Well, I don't know what he truly meant...
That's really nice of you to give him the benefit of a doubt. And yeah, inappropriate ex-talk too early in the relationship can be annoying, and rebounds can also be unhealthy for everyone involved.
I guess my beef here is guys drooling over what they believe to be an ideal nerdy girl (i.e., one like you, who draws super awesome superhero fanart) and thinking that specific quality would make him, as he said, "happy." But relationships are not made happy by a person's talents - your art, for example, is just one of many valid ways to express love. And a relationship could be perfectly terrible even if both partners were extremely talented and compatible in their personal interests. It's deeper than that.
Essentially, I read his comment as childish whining: "Man I wish my girl would just shut up about her past relationship and make me some spidey fanart like DIS girl over HERE. Gawh."
I'm sorry to get all preachy in your comments, by the way. Not my intention to start some unnecessary drama.
oh hell yeah xD I am really sorry for this, therefor it is a really great work. 'cause I don't know black cat, so forgive me. I've only watched spiderman as I was a child and at this there wasn't any black cat.
